Expectations

Haven't written a blog in a while, and I've been thinking about this a TON. & I'm really not all that in to getting a cramp while writing in a journal... so I'll just write it on here. :)

I LOVE to read and write. Reading always makes me feel like I can jump into another person's life, feel the way they do, see the way they do & think the way they do. Writing is like the same thing, for me. Except for the fact that I'M writing it, and I'm living another person... telling their story. I have never been the most creative thinker. I've come up with some pretty good ideas, but I would never consider myself an author. I like writing little stories on Microsoft Word. (well if you consider little stories being 50 pages long :P). And I usually send the stories to my friends, to see what they thought. I'm all for the opinions. They ALL tell me that I should somehow publish it... but it's not THAT good. I don't think any of the stories I've written are good enough to be published books, but apparently that's just me.

Not so sure what this blog was about... but I just felt like expressing myself. In my stories, I really need to work on my details. The paragraphs are short! Well, not all of them. I'm working on it... trying to figure out some of these expectations about my stories.

Hey!! What's up world?! I haven't been on in a while.. no shocker there right? Well SCHOOL IS OUT!!! It's soo awesoem being on summer vacation, but it feels so wierd. It feels like I just started 6th grade like a couple days ago... and now I'm on summer break heading into 7th grade! But I guess it felt the same way when we got out of 5th grade, too... but I mean... I've only got 2 years left in middle school. I better make the most of it!

If you looked on my other blog (www.twilightgirlyz.blogspot.com) then you know about the MTV Movie Awards tonight! I wouldn't miss it for ANYTHING! Well... I'm pretty sure I wouldn't. LoL. And I have to go to a meeting for Bible School this summer... Me and Morgan are teaching the preschoolers! =].

Tulip Festival

Once again I haven't made a blog in a while. But I am SO bored right now; I have to do something.

Yesterday... (Thursday) Shawn Mayer came to our school to be a motivational speaker and to sing for us! If you don't know who that is... then you're wierd! No... its ok because I didn't know who she was at first either. She was on Nashville Star; I don't watch it, but a lot of other people did when she was on it. Shawn got booted off because she "fired" John Rich. He is apparently not a very nice person? Well anyway, I got her autograph... she is an amazing singer! =]

Its Friday. Just thought I'd tell you that.

OHHH! Next week is TULIP FESTIVAL!?!?! I am SOOO excited. I love the Tulip Festival. One reason is because its closer to the end of the school year. Who wouldn't love that? And all the "couples" are going to ride on the ferris wheel. Only because its the only ride where you wouldn't puke if you had a funnel cake right before you went on. Pretty romantic, right?

=] Well... I might be seeing the movie: Ghost of Girlfriend's Past tonight. So.. Have a good weekend. (:

Spring Dance // Dog // School!!

Ok so I haven't posted a blog in a while... since Easter if I'm going to be exact... and well my dad is out of the hospital... found out that it wasn't a heart attack but he will be fine. Yay! =]

The Spring Dance is tomorrow and it should be super fun... haha everyone has "dance partners". Which doesn't make much sense to me because the "couples" (supposedly) don't even talk to each other in the first place... so how are they going to be dancing together without even looking at each other? Wow! Gotta love that drama ha!

And... my poor puppy, Skippy, has diabetes! =[ I know that sounds odd... a dog having diabetes, but it is totally true! My last dog died of diabetes and I wasn't too close to him, so I wasn't sad... But I really don't want Skippy to die... I named him! I don't want to lose him, it's only been about 4 years!

School... is... well... school I guess? So far this week we haven't been getting too much homework, so that's good. But then again, my friend (MORGAN) thinks I'm such an overachiever.. haha I'm not, I just don't like having work to do at home... hence the word homework? haha

OMG! It is like 88 degrees right now... and very humid! Me and Morgan (T) went on a little adventure today... haha I'll probably have to write about it in english! =]

Drama, Drama, Drama.

I haven't posted a blog in a while, and this one is going to be a LITTLE long... so don't get too bored because I warned you.

Well... like 2 weeks ago my grandma had a stroke and was admitted into the hospital ... it isn't so bad, but she will be able to go home sometime around the 20th of April, so that will be good.

Then this morning at around 3 AM, my dad was having chest pains, and just got up and walked around, because, well, he was doing yard work all day yesterday so he just thought that he had pulled a muscle or something, but the pain started going down his arm, and my mom called the hospital.

In Orange City, Dr.Kamstra, told my dad that he probably should go to Mercy to see a heart specialist, just in case. So we went to Sioux City today, and my dad had a cool jamaican doctor.. (i loved his voice), and he is going to give him a test tomorrow morning down by his leg, and it is going to reach to his heart, and they should know more about it tomorrow.

My dad, is thinking, no HOPING, that he will be able to go home tomorrow (my mom has other ideas) and told my mom to get his clothes ready, because he WILL be leaving the hospital as soon as he can. I hope so.

Keep him in your prayers everyone. I love you, Dad!

What to do today... ? Hmm.. (pondering) -- haha

1. Going to Mogin's house for the day 2 hang out... Marisa will probably come too!!
2. ^^ Same thing except make an awesome video!!
3. Go see "The Haunting in Connecticut" with a bunch of friends tonight!
4. Come home, and try to feel bad about missing the "Kid's Choice Awards" shucks... haha
5. Read my book... then listen to Taylor Swift.
6. Go to bed!!

Whoaa...

Ok well I just totally started freaking out like a second ago, because i was trying to log onto blogger, but it wasn't letting me saying that I had the wrong password or something! So I was getting like super frustrated and kind of mad... and then I got an email from it saying that I was using the wrong email adderess... haha... oopsies!

Well... in other news...
its friday! =D hurray for the hurrays! and tomorrow im going to be getting Twilight on DVD, yes, I know you are all very very jealous of me at this moment... because... i mean, come on, its Twilight! How can you resist it?!

OmG! I was on Twitter earlier, (still am), and i have like 8 followers right now! How flippen awesome is that! haha, thats not very many compared to the people i am following right now, but you know, its enough for me! =]

Blog..

So I haven't made a blog in a while... so you can stop whining! I'm making it! Jeesh! =] Here you go...

Well, the weather has been AWESOME lately! High's in the 60s and lower 70s! How flippen awesome is that?! Except for the lucky people down in Arizona *cough, Ryan* who gets awesome weather all the time!!!!

I finished the book Out of the Dust, I liked it. =]

Hmm... let me see... Vanessa's birthday this Sunday! We're all going roller skating on Friday to celebrate the greatness of it! =] And speaking of the weekend...

I'm getting Twilight on DVD!!!!!! Haha!! BE jealous!!!!! =D I love Twilight... just telling you... I figured you'd never figure it out... but Edward Cullen is awesome... =]

What else is there? Oh, yeah, my neice, Payton, is getting surgery tomorrow =[ She has like a "syst" thing on her face... (idk if I spelt that right...?) My sister is really kind of scared about it, but we hope it goes well. Keep Payton in your prayers!

1st Chapter in "Me, Myself, and Him" =]

Me, Myself, and Him

Chapter One
Eye Contact

Tick, tock, tick, tock.
Ugh, could time go any slower?
I started hitting my pencil on the desk, hoping that the bell would just ring for my sake. It didn’t.
I reread my poem for the seventh time:

One day so long ago
There was a person in my life.
He held me when I was down.
He lifted me higher when I was up.
I cried when he wasn't there
Smiled when he was.
Laughed when he smiled,
frowned if it was gone.
He took my hand,
My heart,
And whatever else it needed.
Add a smile and there it was,
The simplicity
Of love.

Ok, so maybe it was a little cheesy, and not true, and kind of stupid. Ok, so maybe there was no maybe about it, it was cheesy, not true, and stupid, but I knew it had to be about someone. I didn’t know who that someone was. Whenever I thought of this poem, I thought of a person who always made me feel that way. I still don’t know who that is.
I looked at the clock again. 2:57. Hurry up! I begged in my head, it was Friday afternoon, and I couldn’t wait to get out of this prison called high school.
“Nat! Calm down! School is almost over!” My friend, Allison whispered to me.
Nat. That was my nickname. My full name was Natalia Jo Lynn Rivers. It was such a fancy name, and I wasn’t really the “fancy” type.
RIIINNNGG!!!
I jumped from my seat, and started out the door, heading to my locker to put my books away. I sighed, staring at the picture of the most popular guy in school.
Cameron Jay Ranolds.
Yes, I was one of the girls, who, took pictures from the year book, cut them out, and stuck them in my locker. I was that obsessed. Well, he looked like a movie star! His gorgeous blond hair and his pool-type blue eyes.
I sucked in a deep breath.
“Hey Nat,” my very best (guy) friend, Robert, said to me. He saw me staring at my locker door, and sighed, “Natalia Jo Lynn Rivers.” I looked at him. “Are you seriously staring at that picture? Again?”
I slammed my locker. “No, maybe I was just looking at the beautiful sandwich sitting in my locker!” I started laughing when Rob did a double take and went back to the locker.
“That wasn’t very nice, you know I get hungry after school.”
“And you know that I don’t like being called by my full name, but I guess we just aren’t very nice people are we?”
I laughed again, and we walked out the school doors.
I loved Fridays.

“Bye, bye, Roberto!” I called to Robert, before I shut the car door.
“See you Nattie!”
I smiled walking up my steps, then sighed.
Mom, was at work, Dad, was probably gone at a restaurant.
Yeah, my dad was a food critic, if that’s not weird, I don’t know what weird is.
I went into the kitchen to get a snack, and saw a note lying on the table.
Hey Hun, it started with my mom’s nice hand-writing, I’m at the office as you read this note. Really sorry, I won’t be home until about 10 tonight. Fix yourself dinner, your dad is down in Los Angeles trying a new restaurant out. If you’re going out with friends, don’t stay out too late.

Of course. That is usually how it went on Fridays. But, it was one of the reasons I loved Fridays, too. I loved having the house to myself, peace and quiet. It was very relaxing.
I sank down into the couch with my chocolate chip cookie I had made the last Saturday. It was actually pretty good.
I turned on the TV, switched the channel a couple of times, and turned it off. Nothing was on.
Then, just as I thought of it, the phone rang.
I ran to get it, and picked up. “Hello?”
“Nattie!” It was Allison. “You ready for the game tonight?”
“Um, Ally, the game isn’t until 7:30, and it’s only 5.” I rolled my eyes, Ally was always trying to be on top of things.
“Oh, you are such a party pooper! I don’t care if it’s 5! I’m coming over to get you ready; this is the night where you and Cameron Jay Ranolds get together!” She giggled into the receiver.
“Ally! You know how he doesn’t have a clue I exist!” I knew that was true, but when she said “get together” I got butterflies. Maybe this was the night, Cameron Jay Ranolds and I would “get together”. I smiled.
“Whatever Nat. I’ll see you in five minutes. I’ve got my makeup kit ready and loaded.” The phone clicked.
I hated it when Allison used me as her “experiment”. Her makeup kit was for every game, dance, contest, etc. The first time she had used her makeup “skills” on me, it had been a disaster. But Ally had gotten really good with the eyeliner and lip gloss over the years. Hopefully she wouldn’t make me look like a clown.

“Nat hold still!” Allison yelled at me, as I was squirming to get out of her hold.
“Ally you’re going to poke my eye out with that eyeliner! Let me do it!”
She gave up and pouted. I rolled my eyes and grabbed the dark pencil from her. I traced the outside of my eyelids then checked the mirror. “There,” I said. “And I don’t even look like a raccoon!” I smiled turning my face from side to side.
Allison giggled at my attempt to make a joke. “Nat, you’ll be fine tonight. He’s going to see you, and think he’s dreaming.”
I snorted. “Yeah, until he pinches himself and realizes he’s not.”
Ally rolled her eyes and closed her makeup kit. “You got the car tonight?”
“Yeah,” I nodded. The beauty of having parents gone every weekend was that you didn’t have to ask if you could borrow the car. It was just there, ready and convenient.
We got in the car and rode off.
I blasted the music, and we both started singing to David Archuleta’s song, Crush. I started laughing, and then, I saw the football field.
My hands got clammy, and I felt like I was choking, and at the same time, not breathing at all. “Ally, I can’t do this, at all!”
She shook her head, “Nat, if you even start doubting yourself now, I will call you by your full and complete name.”
Ugh. I hated when she did that. I rolled my eyes, and took a deep breath, “Fine, but if I pass out during the game, make sure no one knows my full name. ‘K?”
She nodded, and smiled.
We sat down on the bleachers, and just talked. Ally and I never watched the games because, well, we never really understood what it meant when the guy said “hike”. But, you know, whatever. I saw Cameron go on the field, and sucked in a deep breath. After the game, the whole team, cheerleading squad, and everyone else was going to head over to the captain’s house for a party. Guess who the captain was?
“Let’s go Cameron!!” Ally yelled.
“Omg, Ally, he’s going to look over at us, don’t!” I said using my MSN language.
She rolled her eyes. “He’s going to have to get to know you sometime, Nat. Better now than never.”
“I’m pretty sure that the saying is ‘better late than never’.”
“Whatever.”
When it was at the end of 4th quarter, everyone started counting down, so Ally and I just counted with them. Then when we got down to zero, everyone screamed. So, I was guessing that we won.
“Natalia Jo Lynn Rivers, this is your time to shine,” Ally told me with a triumphant smile on her face.

We followed everyone from school, to the captain's house. I told myself to breathe in, and then out. Just in case I completely forgot because, you know, those things happen. Right?
Apparently I was driving really slowly, and it started to tick Ally off. "Ugh! Nat! You need to drive faster than this! We won't be able to catch Cameron before-" She cut off.
"Before what?" I asked, curious.
She hesitated. "Do you really want me to say it?" I nodded. "Fine. We need to catch Cameron before he goes off into his backyard with Tina Lofling, to make out!"
Oh. That's why she didn't want to tell me. She didn't want to make me upset. Tina Lofling. The prom queen, the head cheerleader, the girl who did practically everything, and still managed to get alone time with the most popular guy in school. Ugh.
Ally stared at me, waiting for me to break down, or whatever. I sucked in a very deep breath, almost not breathing out again, and sighed. "It's ok, Allison." She nodded and just stared out the window.
When we got to his house, I gasped.
Cars were everywhere. There were even some cars in the grass! Not to mention the fact that his house was like my Barbie mansion I had when I was nine, well, aside the fact that my Barbie mansion was pink, but you know what I mean.
I found a parking spot on the road, surprisingly, and got out of the car with Ally.
I saw Robert and waved, then looked at Ally, staring at me. She had always thought that I had this big crush on Rob. Which she was totally off. We had been best friends since who knows when, and she thinks that we are a big match-made-in-heaven. Whatever.
"Nat, Ally," he said nodding to us.
I sighed. "Ok, let's do this."
We stepped inside.
Ally gasped, "Holy tomatoes!" I rolled my eyes at her, 'holy tomatoes' was her favorite saying when she saw something that was unbelievable, or something like that.
I scanned the room, it was huge. Apparently the Ranolds had moved the furniture for this party. A big white couch was off to the side, next to the big fireplace, and then a nice flat screen TV on the other side of the room. All of the football players were gathered around the TV, watching some kind of football game. Then, I saw him.
Cameron had changed from his uniform into some white slacks, and a red polo shirt. Usually when someone wore a polo shirt, they were made fun of, but when Cameron Jay Ranolds wears a polo, he looked like a god.
Then I looked over to his side, and scowled. Tina Lofling, of course, standing right next to Cameron, just staring at his gorgeous blue eyes, even though his eyes were staring at the floor.
I rolled my eyes and looked at Ally, and Rob, who were staring at the food on the table next to the TV. I laughed, "Alright puppies, lets go get you fed!"
We started walking toward the table when I looked up from the floor.
I was staring into someone's gorgeous blue eyes, and one of those blue eyes winked.
Cameron Jay Ranolds winked at me.
Oh. My. Gosh.

Interesting...

Ok... so this week its been all crazy. On Tuesday we had a snow day (it was awesome!!) and on Wednesday, we had an early out!! =] I love having early outs, except I really hate the schedule though.. six periods before lunch is never fun!!

Ok ... so right now I am reading Out of the Dust

It's pretty good so far, even though I just started today, I know it's going to be good because a ton of people have read it and said it was good! =]

Well... don't have much else... but I'm so excited for the weekend!!!!

Umm... well... my uncle (god-father) Reed (i love you!=]) just stopped by today to give me a little late birthday card, but I loved it... Now... i've got $110!!

But... only about $40 of it is actual money, the rest of it is gift cards for Wal Mart from Christmas and my birthday! =]

Well.. for my birthday - I went shopping... and bought 3 things:

I also went to this restaraunt called Golden Corral... and my sister said it was really good... um... everything LOOKED good... but it wasn't all that great. Like the spaghetti was overcooked... and all that good stuff! lol.. But the chocolate cake was good! Even though I got some on my poor pink sweatshirt =[ lol

I wanna say thanks to all the cards I got, and all the Happy Birthday's! =] Even if my grandma gave me a seseme street card... its all good.. haha thanks!

You think I'm gonna be a bad teenager? Haha, yahh... bye!

3 Day Weekend!!!!

Hey!! We got a 3 day weekend thanks to parent teacher conferences... even though I don't like those things, I still kinda like showing off to my mom about how well I'm doing in my classes (and how much all the teachers like me :P)

Well... it's Friday, and last nite I spent the night at Morgan's it was fun! And today I'm supposed to go to a skating thing in Sheldon, but I'm not getting very good at getting rides, and my mom is just a little crabby, so that doesn't help either! :P

Hmm... what else is there to talk about....

I turn 13 tomorrow!!!!!!!!!! =] I will officially be a teenager even though it probably wont change much, either way i'm a year older!

Heyy!! Long time ... um... ok... nevermind ... lol =]

Guess what!? IM BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is SO awesome to be able to talk again, and breathe through my nose, and not have a headache, and not have a fever, and not be so achy! lol
Plus I get to go back to school! That may not be a good thing for someone else, but when you're gone for over a week, it really stinks to be sitting at home when all of your friends get to hang out and talk at school! I'm just glad to be back

Birthday!!!! =]

Heyy... I had to miss 2 days of school (Thursday and Friday {today's friday}) And I have a sore throat and I still have a stupid fever so I couldn't go to school!! UGH! =[

Well... my Birthday is in about two weeks!!!!! I'm going to be thirteen!!!! *And in case you can't read that that means I'm going to be 13 years of age... :P

We ended ITBS yesterday.. well everyone else did but me, because I was sick, fun fun, now I get to make it up in DS!!! Yay... lol

I can't stay on long - I want to watch tv or something haha - well thanks for checking out the blog! hopefully I'll get better soon!!!!!!!!! bub-bye

OmG... Valentines!! <3

Heyy... you must've missed me. Being there has been a lot of homework lately i've been stuck on my kitchen table trying to figure out what 7 1/2 times (x) 3 2/4 is... But anyway!!....

And kind of funny actually, since probably none of the "couples" are going to dance together anyway. But it will be really cute when I take pictures of them unexpectedly! Woohoo!!

In other news... I got on Honor Roll... AND got all A's on my last week's grades. Yes I'm such a nerd, thank you, thank you.

3rd Quarter!!!! OMG!

Hey... wow. School. 3rd quarter. Which ALSO means that we are THAT close to the ending of the year!

WOW!

That is so weird... considering the fact that I was all "excited" for 6th grade just to start, and now it is almost ending... Hmph. Too fast.

Since not a lot of people read these blogs I just have been typing these out like a "diary" I guess. So if it starts sounding all wierd it's 'cause of that!

Looking over the last months of my life I came to conclusion that I have made a LOT of new friends!! --That sounded like I was like oddly weird... If that makes much sense. -- All the "OC people" (in other words the people that went to Orange City Elementary) are my friends now, and being the fact that we're gonna be together for a while (6 years or so) we might as well be nice to each other. :) !!

Uhm... we have a 3 day weekend! Maybe that information will make your life awesome or something I dont care. :P

Ok well... HAPPY NEW YEAR!! (belated) Oops...

We went back to school on Monday (January 5) and it wasn't pleasent what-so-ever. But that's usually how it goes when you go back to school really early in the morning after sleeping in until 10 everyday. Fun I know. Not to mention the fact that in P.E. we had to RUN. Ok.. well it wasn't that hard but still. I would've rather been in my bed. Asleep. (Or reading my amazing books)

YES. That's right. I am a nerd. I like reading. So... you know I find reading fun. Well.. some books at least. Like.. I don't know.. Twilight for instance? Or New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn, etc. etc.

Well... I guess I can update this more but yeah... Haha cya !!!!!! :)
